prefer的用法(关于prefer的各种用法。如prefer A to B)

prefer： 用作及物动词使用，通常的意思是“更喜欢，宁愿”。prefer…to…：一般表达为prefer A to B：意思是“喜欢A胜于B”。如果要加动词，那么就是prefer doing A to doing B，意思是“喜欢做A胜于做B”。

1、prefer to do和prefer doing都是宁愿做某事，prefer to do是指短时间的，而prefer doing是长期的。 例句：I prefer to play computer games.=I prefer playing computer games .我宁愿打电脑游戏。

2、prefer doing A to doing B.喜欢做A胜于喜欢做B. 例句：I prefer playing computers games to watching TV.喜欢打电脑游戏胜于喜欢看电视。

3、prefer …to …， prefer to… rather than…：两个动词短语均可作“喜欢……而不喜欢……”或“宁愿……而不愿……”其后均可接名词。 例句：I prefer football to basketball＝I prefer to football rather than basketball.我喜欢足球而不喜欢篮球。

4、prefer …to …， prefer to… rather than…的区别在于：prefer…to…之后接动词时，均用-ing形式。 而prefer to…rather than…之后接动词时，均要用动词原形，表示为prefer to do A rather than do B. 例如： He prefers going home to going to movie． 他宁愿回家而不愿骑去看电影。 例如： Chensheng preferred to die rather than surrender before the enemy． 陈深在敌人面前宁死不屈。
